The OSRAM HMI 575 W/GS is a double-ended metal halide lamp. Due to its very short arc length (GS = gap shortened) a high luminance and efficacy is achieved. The HMI 575 W/GS stands out due to the hot restart ability and its by 30% increased service life compared to the previous version.

The HMI  575 W/GS can either be operated on standard ballasts or on electronic power supplies (ECG).
